Dr. Richard H. Alfred

Dr. Richard H. Alfred is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon,
specializing in sports medicine. Dr. Alfred participates with the following sports programs as Team Physician:

  • New York Racing Association - Saratoga Racecourse
  • New York Giants Training Camp Physician
  • Hudson Valley Community College
  • State University of New York at Albany
  • Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
  • Russell Sage College

 

Dr. Alfred received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1981. Dr. Alfred's postgraduate work included a fellowship in sports medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His orthopaedic surgery residency was done at Albany Medical Center Hospital. He was a junior resident in General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Dr. Alfred joined Capital Region Orthopaedics in 1988.

Dr. Alfred sees patients at the Albany, Latham and Saratoga offices.
